A single wall-mounted unit is usually fitted in a day. Multi-room and ducted systems take longer because there's more pipework and more indoor units to fit, and we'll give you a clear timeframe when we quote.

Once a year is a sensible rule for most homes. Units in offices, shops or anywhere they run hard all day are worth checking more often. A serviced unit runs cheaper, cools better and lasts longer.
Often not. A single outdoor unit on a house can fall under permitted development, but there are conditions, and listed buildings, conservation areas and flats can be different. If you're a leaseholder, check with your freeholder too. We'll tell you what to look into before any work starts.
Wall-mounted units sit high on the wall of the room they cool and are the simplest to fit. Ducted systems hide the unit in the ceiling and feed air through grilles. Multi-room systems run several indoor units from one outdoor unit, so you don't need a box on the wall for every room.
